A shocking incident unfolded at Colerain High School in Ohio, where a 16-year-old student assaulted a teacher in a classroom, leaving her seriously injured. According to the Colerain Police Department, the attack occurred around 2:18 p.m. on Jan. 4, allegedly after the student ingested an unknown substance.
Police were called to the scene after the student, reportedly under the influence, attacked the 60-year-old teacher. Bodycam footage captured the aftermath, showing the teacher conscious but feeling faint. She was swiftly taken to a nearby medical center for urgent treatment.
In the footage, the student appears disoriented, describing his actions as if he were dreaming. He admits to repeatedly punching the teacher in the head despite her pleas for him to stop. Additionally, he allegedly grabbed another student by the neck and pinched.
Reports from NBC affiliate WLWT in Cincinnati suggest that the student, under the influence of an unknown drug after vaping, became aggressive when the teacher threatened to involve the police. The severity of the teacher’s injuries was such that doctors had to remove her skull cap to alleviate pressure on her brain, as reported by The New York Post.
The student now faces serious consequences for his actions, including felony assault charges and disciplinary measures from the school district. After receiving medical treatment for a self-inflicted head injury, he was transferred to a local juvenile detention center.
