Men Convicted After Killing Son, Paralyzing Mother in Botched Home Invasion

First-degree murder charges have been brought against two guys from Pennsylvania who went to the incorrect house with the intention of stealing firearms.

After a jury deliberated for about four hours and returned a judgment on Thursday night, Charles Fulforth, 41, and Kelvin Roberts Jr., 42, were found guilty on seven felony offenses.

Andrew Gaudio, 25, was killed by Roberts and Fulforth, who were also found guilty of gravely wounding his mother, Bernadette Gaudio, 61, during the December 2024 home invasion.

The two men were tipped off about a weapons cache at an old couple’s house. They were coworkers at Junkluggers and were allegedly involved in gun trafficking.

That house, however, was in a different county.

The residence of Andrew and Bernadette Gaudio was unlawfully entered by Roberts and Fulforth on December 8, 2024. Bernadette Gaudio was hiding in her bed when she heard her son calling for her.

He went upstairs to her room and was shot in the head. According to her testimony, she “knew right away” that her son had been murdered.

Bernadette Gaudio was shot several times by Roberts, which left her disabled.

At a news conference following the arrests, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele stated: “then entered the wrong house with malicious purpose, shot a 61-year-old mother who was innocent as she lay in bed, and then killed her 25-year-old son.

And I say executed because Andrew was lying facedown on the floor of his mother’s bedroom when he was shot in the back of the head at that same moment.”

It was Jeremy Fuentes, a third suspect, who reportedly led Roberts and Fulforth to a Bucks County residence with a stocked weapons safe.

Fuentes and another unidentified Junkluggers employee, who testified during the trial, allegedly gave Fulforth and Roberts the information regarding the gun safe after taking an estimate at the Bucks County residence.

Fuentes is expected to stand trial on his own.

In addition to other charges, Fulforth and Roberts were convicted of first-degree murder, attempted murder, and robbery. They were convicted of not conspiring to commit murder. The sentencing will take place later.
