After nearly two years of suspension, the Kansas Supreme Court has reinstated the law license of Wichita Attorney Brad Pistotnik, owner of the prominent “Bull Attorneys” law firm in Wichita. A news release from the law office announced the court’s decision on Jan. 19, marking a significant development in Pistotnik’s legal career.
The suspension of Pistotnik’s law license stemmed from a cyber crimes case dating back to 2018, where prosecutors alleged that Pistotnik collaborated with software engineer David Dorsett to threaten websites hosting negative comments about Pistotnik’s legal services. In 2019, Pistotnik pleaded guilty to misdemeanors related to the case and paid a hefty fine of $375,000, expressing remorse and accepting responsibility for his actions during the court proceedings.
His accomplice, David Dorsett, faced legal consequences as well, receiving a three-year probation sentence and a $2,000 fine after pleading guilty to making extortionate threats via the internet. However, the recent decision by the Kansas Supreme Court signals a positive turn for Pistotnik, confirming the reinstatement of his law license and allowing him to resume legal practice.
In response to the court’s decision, Pistotnik expressed his intention to return from Florida and resume his legal practice with Bull Attorneys, P.A.
