Riverside County is gearing up to celebrate Leap Day in a truly romantic fashion, offering local couples a unique opportunity to exchange vows and make their wedding day even more memorable.
On February 29, which only graces the calendar once every four years, lovebirds have the chance to tie the knot in a special ceremony organized by the Riverside County Assessor-Clerk-Recorder’s office. County officials are excited about this rare occasion, dubbing it “a date as extraordinary as your love story.”
Peter Aldana, Riverside County Clerk, expressed enthusiasm about the Leap Year wedding festivities, highlighting the significance of February 29 as a truly exceptional date. “Leap Year gives us the chance to host weddings on February 29, a date that’s so special because it’s so rare,” Aldana remarked. “At the Riverside County ACR, we’re committed to ensuring that every wedding ceremony, especially on Leap Day, is as memorable and unique as the date itself.”
All six Riverside County ACR locations, spanning downtown Riverside, Riverside Gateway, Temecula, Palm Desert, Hemet, and Blythe, are prepared to assist couples in obtaining marriage licenses and planning their ceremonies. Whether couples seek an intimate affair or a grand celebration, Riverside County is ready to accommodate their wedding dreams on this extraordinary day.
