Two people were injured in a shooting that happened in Tarrant, Alabama, on Wednesday morning. According to the police, the shooting took place on Jackson Boulevard around 10 a.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man and a woman who had both been shot. Tarrant Police Chief Wendell Major said both victims were taken to UAB Hospital. Their injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
Right now, the police are still investigating what led to the shooting. No arrests have been made so far, but officers believe the man and woman knew each other. Police also said they are not looking for any other suspects at the moment.
Chief Major said the incident seems to be isolated and that the public is not in danger.
