A migrant was arrested after allegedly attacking a U.S. Border Patrol agent near San Miguel, Arizona. According to federal authorities, the incident took place around 7:00 p.m. on June 2.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported that an agent from the Tucson Sector was patrolling in the area when they encountered a group of migrants. During the encounter, one of the individuals allegedly assaulted the agent.
The agent managed to call for help, and backup quickly arrived at the location. The migrant who reportedly attacked the agent was taken into custody. Authorities said that medical assistance was provided at the scene, and the agent is expected to recover.
