Ten years ago, Jordan Stephenson, the owner of Bard’s Burgers & Chili, didn’t have Wi-Fi in his house when the restaurant rebranded and reopened. To compose menus, do research, and lay the groundwork for what is now one of Latonia’s most cherished eateries, he turned to the Kenton County Public Library.
In celebration of Bard’s tenth anniversary and the official opening of the new Latonia Branch earlier this month, the restaurant is recognizing the Library’s contribution to its success by launching a limited-edition beverage called Li-berry Lemonade. The Latonia Community Libraries will receive a percentage of the drink’s sales. The owner gathered the raspberries from the community garden to use in the lemonade.
We value this public resource greatly, Stephenson wrote in a Facebook post. We are thrilled to have the Kenton County Public Library in the area.
In order to assist small enterprises, the Library offers free Wi-Fi, conference rooms, hotspots, databases for business planning, printing services for large posters and banners, one-on-one research assistance, business coaching, and more.
According to Gina Stegner, the library’s public relations and social media coordinator, the Kenton County Public Library is honored to support dreams. What community connection is all about is witnessing Bard’s success and knowing that we were a part of that beginning.
Public computers, adaptable conference spaces, and business and professional information are all available at the new Latonia Branch. Over 170,000 people in Kenton County are served by its four physical branches.
