Deadly Two-vehicle Crash in Rhinelander Leaves 58-year-old Man Dead, Ongoing Investigation Into Cause

WOODBORO, Wis. (KHN) – On Tuesday morning, a 58-year-old Wisconsin man was killed in a head-on collision with two automobiles in Rhinelander.

According to a Wisconsin State Patrol North Central Region press release, troopers responded to a two-vehicle head-on incident on U.S. 8 eastbound/westbound near Spring Creek Road on Tuesday at 8 a.m.

According to initial reports, a westbound GMC pickup truck crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound Toyota sedan. The injuries claimed the life of the Toyota’s driver and only occupant, 58-year-old Daniel Reiter of Tomahawk.

Kristin Henrickson, 53, of Abbotsford, operated the GMC and had minor injuries. There have been no charges filed at this time. However, the probe is ongoing.
