The Green Bay Packers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 30–13 on the road Sunday night, bouncing back from a Week 14 defeat.

Josh Jacobs ran for 94 yards and a touchdown, and Jordan Love completed 20 of 27 passes for 229 yards and two scores for the Packers.

Before leaving the game in the second half due to a knee injury, Geno Smith completed 15 of 19 passes for 149 yards and an interception for the Seahawks.

From the first drive, Green Bay controlled the game.

Jacobs ended the drive with a 1-yard touchdown run as the Packers, who had chosen to receive following the coin toss, marched 63 yards in 10 plays on the first possession of the game. Green Bay went 80 yards in just eight plays to increase its lead to 14-0 when the Seahawks punted just four plays later.

On their following two drives, the teams exchanged field goals. The Packers then had a 20-3 advantage at the half as a Smith interception in the red zone set up another field goal as the first half came to an end.

Each team committed at least one turnover in the sloppy second half, and the Packers also turned the ball over on downs. On the third drive of the third quarter, Smith was hit in the legs on an incomplete pass and forced to depart, changing the tone of the game. Sam Howell, who made just five of his fourteen attempts, took his place.

In the third and fourth quarters, when the game had already gotten out of control, each teams scored a field goal and a touchdown, respectively.

Green Bay’s defense might have been the best team, despite the offense scoring thirty points. The Packers completely shut down Seattle’s quarterbacks with seven sacks and two interceptions.

Green Bay got better, going 10–4. The Packers have won eight of their last ten games after a 2-2 start, with their only two defeats occurring against division rivals. With a combined record of 35-6, Green Bay has lost four times, twice to the Detroit Lions, once to the Minnesota Vikings, and once to the Philadelphia Eagles.

On December 23, the Packers will play the New Orleans Saints.

The Seahawks went from being the NFC West’s top team to finishing outside the postseason bracket. A head-to-head tiebreaker has put the Los Angeles Rams in the lead in the division.

Now, with Seattle facing the 11-2 Vikings in Week 16, all eyes will be on Smith’s availability.
