The possibility of thunderstorms and heavy rain on Friday, July 25, might have an impact on traffic throughout northern Maine, particularly along Route 1 near Caribou.

It is expected that the conditions will improve on Friday night, and the sun will return on Saturday.
The occurrence of localized floods is not anticipated; however, short bursts of heavy rain may have an impact on roadways that do not drain well and rural regions that are low-lying.
The weather is expected to become drier and calmer beginning on Saturday, but residents who are planned festivities over the weekend should be prepared for further storms early the next week.
The high temperatures for Saturday and Sunday are expected to be in the upper 70s, with partly to mainly sunny skies. The winds shift to the northwest, providing a delightful summer break before the next disturbance arrives.
On Monday, July 28, scattered afternoon thunderstorms will resume, with a forty percent chance of precipitation and high temperatures close to eighty degrees Fahrenheit.
While daytime temperatures remain in the middle of the 70s, the likelihood of storms increasing again on Tuesday and Wednesday.
