One Person Severely Burned in Vehicle Fire Near Downtown Colorado Springs, Smoke Still Visible in Area

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KHN) – There was a fire in a vehicle that occurred on Thursday just before six o’clock in the evening in Colorado Springs, and the Colorado Springs Fire Department went to the scene.

The Conejos and W Las Animas intersection was the location of the automobile fire, according to the CSFD.

At six o’clock, the fire was brought under control, and the California State Fire Department reported that one victim had sustained major burns and was transported to a hospital.

Smoke may still be visible in the area, according to the CSFD, and they have requested that the community stay away from the area as firefighters respond to the situation.
