Knightscope, Inc. (Nasdaq: KSCP), a prominent developer of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for public safety, has announced the expansion of its Knightscope Emergency Management System (KEMS) Professional service by the Port Authority New York New Jersey (PANYNJ). This expansion comes in response to a recent life-saving incident with Knightscope’s technology.
Initially deployed on the George Washington Bridge crisis phones in December 2023, the KEMS system has now been extended to monitor the 11 K1 Call Boxes on the Bayonne Bridge for suicide prevention. Following a distress call, police were able to respond within 5 minutes of receiving a text alert, ultimately rescuing the individual in need.
The KEMS platform offers enhanced monitoring capabilities for emergency communication devices, allowing clients and technicians to assess real-time health and status. It provides immediate text and email notifications whenever a help button is pressed, streamlining response times and improving overall system effectiveness.
Additionally, Knightscope has announced its newest Authorized Partner (KAP) in the suburbs of Boston, MA. Structure Consulting Group, Inc. will focus on delivering Knightscope’s K1B line of emergency communication systems to clients involved in planning, building, and maintaining significant infrastructure projects.
The KAP program enables Knightscope to expand its reach to a broader range of end users, driving growth and revenue in line with its 2024 Roadmap to Profitability. Structure Consulting Group, Inc. has demonstrated enthusiasm for the partnership by immediately purchasing a Knightscope K1 Blue Light Emergency Phone for use as a sales demo unit.
Knightscope’s E-Phones provide enhanced wireless connectivity to critical services such as police, fire, and EMS through a one-touch, ADA-compliant device. Their precise location tracking ensures coordinated and efficient responses, particularly in situations where cellular devices are unavailable or impractical.
