Woman in Critical Condition After Stabbing in Adrian, Michigan; Police Search for Suspect Who Fled the Scene

ADRIAN, Mich. (KHN) – A lady is in critical condition after being stabbed on Sunday at a home in Adrian, Michigan, and police are looking for the perpetrator, authorities said.

The incident was reported around noon in the 600 block of South Winter Street.

Police said the woman was stabbed multiple times. Police said she was listed in critical but stable condition Sunday night.

The suspect had already left by the time police arrived at the house. According to investigators, he departed the area in a vehicle. Police eventually located and seized the vehicle, but not the suspect.

Adrian police say they know who is responsible for the stabbing and are seeking a warrant for his arrest. Detectives do not intend to reveal his identity until he is arrested and arraigned in district court.

There is “no known danger to the immediate public,” police noted in a news release.
