Amber Alert Issued After 3-Year-Old Girl Taken at Gunpoint in New Castle County, Delaware

A statewide Amber Alert has been issued in Delaware after a 3-year-old girl was reportedly abducted at gunpoint in New Castle County on Saturday morning, according to police.

Elaina Irwin is described as a white female, approximately 3 years old, with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple shirt and pink pants.

Matthew Irwin, the suspect, is described as a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is about 6 feet tall and weighs around 190 pounds. Authorities have identified the getaway vehicle as a maroon Ford Explorer with Delaware registration plate PC246109.

Officials are urging anyone who sees the child, the suspect, or the vehicle to call 911 immediately. They are warning the public not to approach the suspect, as he may be armed.
