The community is welcome to join in the celebration of the Behringer-Crawford Museum’s 75th anniversary.

The actual celebration of BCM’s 75th anniversary takes place on Saturday, July 12 from 4-6 p.m. outside the museum with BCM’s Birthday Bash, a packed day of family-friendly fun, live entertainment, hands-on activities, and FREE museum entry. The official 75th anniversary falls on July 5. Stay for the KSO concert at the Band Shell after attending the celebration.

Animal Experience at Hillview FarmMeet Hillview Farm’s amiable creatures up close, such as ducks, rabbits, chickens, bearded dragons, and even a little cow! An ideal opportunity for children (and adults!) to learn about and engage with these adorable animals.

Join us on the May Festival MiNiSAn interactive vocal experience, created to introduce kids of all skill levels to the delights of music.

Introducing Kentucky the Owl: an exciting and instructive live raptor encounter.

Lots of games!Try your hand at putting or disc golf at the Devou Park Golf Course before going alligator fishing for some goofy fun!

The Time Capsule Booth for the 75th BirthdayFor the sake of future generations, record your video message for the museum.

Drive the Streetcar Out of KentuckyAs we wheel out Kentucky, the exquisitely restored streetcar from BCM’s collection, just outside the museum, you can see a bit of local history.

On-Site Community PartnersThe U.S. Playing Card Company, Friends of Big Bone, Devou Park Trails, Devou Park Golf Course, Read Ready Covington, and the Kenton County Public Library are all participating in the celebration of 140 years of bicycle cards with a demonstration and card throwing game. All of these events are free and enjoyable for the whole family.

During the Bash, visitors and their families can explore the exhibits and learn about the tales that have formed the area for 75 years, since entrance to the museum is free.

After the Bash, attend the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra’s Williams Wondrous World event at the Devou Park Band Shell. This exciting cinematic magic show features John Williams’s legendary music from films like Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and more.

According to Laurie Risch, executive director of BCM, this is our gift to the community. It’s time to rejoice with those who made it possible after 75 years of documenting, honoring, and sharing Northern Kentucky’s history.
