As the newest brand ambassador for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s (KDA) Kentucky Proud initiative, Alex Miller, a country music singer and songwriter from Lancaster, will soon be representing agricultural products grown and produced in Kentucky.

According to Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell, Alex is the epitome of Kentucky. His agricultural upbringing makes him the ideal representative for Kentucky Proud goods. He embodies the genuineness of this state, much like Kentucky Proud merchandise. There is no better match.

For more than 20 years, Kentucky Proud has served as the state’s official agricultural marketing brand, bringing attention to the state’s growing agricultural initiatives to support Kentucky’s farmers, farm families, and farm impact goods that are produced, farmed, or processed in Kentucky by Kentuckians.

In order to connect consumers with Kentucky producers and highlight the Commonwealth’s rich agricultural legacy, Miller will use this new relationship to spread that mission to his fan base and expanding national presence. He will do this both on stage and during scheduled appearances in lighthearted and approachable ways.

Miller remarked, “I can tell you that the work is hard but incredibly rewarding because I come from a long line of Kentucky farmers.” It is a privilege to be a part of Kentucky Proud among other agricultural producers from Kentucky. Being given the opportunity to act as an ambassador will enable me to draw attention to the achievements and incredible items that this fantastic program highlights. I will always do everything in my power to spread the word about Kentucky’s wonders since I adore the state. It was simple for me to say yes to this chance as an American who holds an FFA degree, and I can’t wait to get started.

After playing in nursing homes and local jamborees, Miller’s first stage appearance came when he joined the Garrard County High School FFA and participated in their talent show. He played for thousands of people at the National FFA Convention as a result of his performances.

Miller was on the popular television program American Idol in 2021. He was able to open for artists like Hank Williams, Jr., Lee Brice, Josh Turner, Shenandoah, Brooks & Dunn, and others as a result of his widespread recognition. He has also performed at the Grand Ole Opry and Ryman Auditorium, two country music hotspots, thanks to his guitar and singing abilities.

Miller attributes his motivation and commitment to pursuing his love of singing and performance to his grandfather, a farmer.

Miller, who will soon tour North Carolina, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and all of Kentucky, just dropped his new single, “The Byrd,” featuring country hitmaker Tracy Byrd, for Billy Jam Records.
