Des Moines police are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing child. Officers say the child was last seen near East 15th Street and Walnut Street in Des Moines on Wednesday.
They have not shared the child’s name or photo yet but confirmed they are actively searching in that area.
The Des Moines Police Department is requesting anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to come forward. They also urge residents in nearby neighborhoods to check their security cameras or Ring doorbells for any footage that might help in locating the child.
As the search continues, authorities are not revealing further details, including the child’s age or description. They said they are trying to protect the privacy of the child and family during the early part of the investigation.
The police department is using all available resources and working closely with local units to gather information. Officials say any small tip or sighting might make a difference in bringing the child home safely.
