Sheetz is getting into the ready-to-drink alcohol game with a bold new release. Starting June 3, the popular convenience store chain will begin selling its line of vodka sodas called “Shpiked.”
These canned cocktails are designed to offer a fresh and fizzy experience for adult customers who enjoy convenient, flavorful drinks.
The company shared that the new product line will feature multiple flavors, all made with real vodka and sparkling water. Each can will have 5% alcohol by volume (ABV), which puts them in the same category as most hard seltzers available in the market.
Sheetz said the Shpiked vodka sodas were made to be light, easy to enjoy, and full of flavor. They will come in a 12-can variety pack and be available at select Sheetz locations that are licensed to sell alcohol.
Flavors in the variety pack include Vodka Soda Lime, Vodka Soda Pineapple, Vodka Soda Grapefruit, and Vodka Soda Black Cherry. These flavors were chosen based on customer preferences for fruity and refreshing options.
The drink is targeted toward adults who want a convenient and stylish alternative to traditional beer or wine coolers. Since these are vodka-based and not malt-based, they may appeal to people who want a cleaner taste.
Sheetz described the Shpiked launch as an exciting step forward in their beverage offerings. The chain is already known for its extensive food and drink menu, including made-to-order meals, milkshakes, smoothies, and energy drinks. Adding a vodka soda lineup is a new move that shows the brand’s interest in expanding into alcohol.
Customers will be able to find the Shpiked drinks in the beer cave or coolers at participating locations. These stores must have the proper license to sell alcoholic beverages, so the product won’t be available everywhere.
As of now, Sheetz has not announced plans to sell Shpiked online or outside of its stores. The drinks will be sold only in states where Sheetz is allowed to sell alcohol. These include Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina.
The launch is also part of a broader trend. Ready-to-drink cocktails have become very popular in recent years, especially among younger drinkers. Consumers are looking for drinks that are easy to carry, don’t require mixers, and still taste great.
That’s where vodka sodas and hard seltzers have filled the gap—and Sheetz seems to be aiming to offer its take.
According to a Sheetz spokesperson, the drinks were created with high-quality ingredients and crafted to match the fun and fast-paced lifestyle of Sheetz fans. The sleek can design and bold branding also make them stand out on store shelves.
Sheetz operates over 700 store locations across six states, with many of them open 24/7. Their reputation for mixing convenience with innovation in both food and drink has made them a favorite among travelers, road trippers, and daily commuters alike.
The new Shpiked vodka sodas are expected to be a limited-time launch initially, but if customer response is strong, Sheetz may continue to expand the line or introduce new flavors. There is also the possibility of seasonal or holiday-themed versions if the product becomes popular.
People planning to try the new drinks must be 21 or older and will be asked for valid ID when purchasing. Like all alcoholic beverages, customers are urged to enjoy responsibly.
For Sheetz regulars who enjoy exploring new items on the menu or love discovering new drinks to take to summer gatherings, this new vodka soda option could be a hit. The launch comes just in time for warm weather, cookouts, and outdoor events, making it a smart seasonal move by the company.
The drink’s branding—“Shpiked”—adds a playful twist to the Sheetz name while clearly showing that this is an alcoholic product. It also ties in well with Sheetz’s unique voice and style that longtime customers have come to know.
