On Saturday night, a large group of teenagers gathered at the Woodbridge Center Carnival in New Jersey, leading to chaos and the event’s shutdown.
This gathering was reportedly organized through TikTok posts that encouraged teens to meet up at the carnival.
Despite rules requiring minors to be accompanied by adults and adults to show identification, around 300 teens arrived, overwhelming the event’s security.
As the situation escalated, the crowd moved into the nearby Woodbridge Center Mall. Many stores closed early, and shoppers were sheltered inside as a precaution.
Some of the teens then proceeded towards the Menlo Park Mall in Edison, which had experienced a similar incident the previous week.
In response to the earlier incident at Menlo Park Mall, Edison Mayor Sam Joshi had called for increased security measures, including a curfew.
He emphasized the need for parental responsibility, noting that some teens had traveled significant distances to attend these gatherings.
Authorities are investigating the events, and it’s currently unclear if any arrests were made or injuries reported following the latest incident
