Award-winning author and speaker Julie Lavender will be leading a Christian writers workshop at Word Weavers Boone County, asking area authors to participate in a day of inspiration, education, and faith-based creation.
The author of several award-winning books, such as Raising Good Sons and 365 Ways to Love Your Child, Lavender is well-known for her emotional devotionals, children’s books, and faith-based nonfiction. She is also enthusiastic about empowering authors to use their divinely bestowed talents for Kingdom work. David Lavender, her spouse and occasional co-author, will accompany her for a day of instruction, witness, and helpful advice for Christian writers of all skill levels.
The one-day workshop is intended for writers who want to hone their technique, meet people who are passionate about faith-filled storytelling, and learn how to write brilliantly for God’s glory in devotionals, blogs, books, and other media.
The workshop will be held at Grace Fellowship Church, which is situated at 9379 Gunpowder Road in Florence, on Saturday, July 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration is necessary at www.writecrowdworkshop.com, and the cost is $75. Early registration is encouraged because space is limited.
